This is one of the oldest pieces I have ever shown, going back to the ancient days at the School of Visual Arts. It's another acrylic piece, but more stylized. I used a lot chemicals in the rocks. This is an homage to a few `progressive' guitarists that would never work together. The gentleman singing with the mic is Steve Hackett (he invented guitar `tapping'), formerly of Genesis and in my opinion, he is doing the best solo work from the group (this includes Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel). The bloke with the odd guitar (a Synthaxe), is Allan Holdsworth, a blistering fast guitarist that few people know but musicians in-the-know idolize.
The guy sitting down is Graeme Taylor, from the group Gryphon. Gryphon was a progressive folk/rock band that mixed recorders, bassoon, harpischords, krumhorns with synths and electric guitars. They became progressively harder in the mid-late 70's. The door-knocker is Anthony Phillips who founded Genesis, but quit before they became famous/popular. His first album `The Geese & the Ghost' is a masterpiece! The guy in the balloon is Andy Latimer from Camel, a gentlemen with the sweetest guitar tone I have ever heard.
