This pencil drawing was done digital with the Wacom tablet and Painter 6.0 in pencil mode. I used only 3 shades of grey to simulate a 2H, HB and 4B pencil. Snip is on the left- he was my cat, I drew this same picture in my sketchbook the day after he passed away- last October. The other cat is Venus. She died 2 years ago and my recall of her (as well as the reference), was blurry at best. I only used the eraser mode when I had to touch up a mistake to two. I can not believe that years ago when I was doing computer demonstrations for Commodore Business Machines, that I was opposed to the light pen and only used a mouse. Now, I can not go back! This picture is only 25 % of the original. I printed the big image and it's now hanging in our livingroom.
