This is the fourth image I am doing for Damian Deile's  Sieglet called: SHADOWS OF WINTER. Damian created a rough sketch showing me  the perspective he wanted in the scene. I roughly resketched  the image into a widescreen format, adding serpents around the columns and all the fallen rocks and snow.   As interest, I added cracks and crevices into the rock and surface- moving the viewers eye into the Dwarven City of Stoengurd.  The figure is not part of the story, but is there just to show scale. The text is JRR Tolkien's Dwarven text and  spells  all of the development teams names. Damian's name  is in the inside. Mine is right below the right serpent's head- the only name dripping into the snow. As one of a few in-jokes, I included what Gandalf says to open up  the gates of Moria... Can you find it?  I finished this image while having pneumonia and boy does that do a number on you (as well as the medicine).
Since this game will be freeware, the images are not that large. This picture is 47% the scale of the original.
