A while back, I  drew a pencil drawing in a sketch book  of  a creature-  half lion and half bird, with shield, helmet and spear, perched  on a tree limb. Though this sketch has been lost, I had it scanned and blew it up 10-fold, which made the pixel quite `blocky.' Then I  started redrawing it with my stylus pen. Originally, the backdrop was supposed to be a very bright blue sky with butterflies, but I was tinkering around with color and changed by initial direction to add a bit of drama.
This was a fairly quick piece, created as a book cover in mind (hence areas where type would go). I wanted to keep it simple (K.I.S.S. (Keep  It Simple Stupid))*  and not get too complex. This image was reduced  to  20% of the original and  doesn't nearly show all its detail. E-mail me what  you think of this.
