This image is an acrylic painting I painted for my wife for 2008 Christmas. I kept this year's paintings to the theme of the 1904 World's Fair. This painting is 14" x 18" and was painted on Masonite. The reference was pretty good, but was in black and white, so I had to guess and add few elements, but it was an honor to paint.
This portrait was a bit of a risk, because I didn't know how my wife, would like it, but she seems to enjoy it. Geronimo was remarkable man. If you're interested in his life, check out my Fair page on him- http://atthefair.homestead.com/Misc/Geronimo.html . The page also includes the man's biography in its entirety.
I enjoyed playing up the colors.
